Game Management
Each hunter who books a 5 day hunt is allowed to harvest 4 deer. These 4 deer can consist of 2 bucks and 2 does. The first buck must be at least 4 points. The second buck must be at least 8 points. North Carolina hunting laws limits 2 deer being taken in the same day.
Fine for a buck smaller than 4 points is $300.00. For a second buck smaller than 8 points the fine is $300.00. The fine for shooting a button buck is 75.00. Fine for shooting a deer less than 50 pounds is $75.00.
Our goal is to manage our properties to allow the deer herd to reach maturity, bucks and does. This will allow us to preserve the deer population for future hunting seasons and will guard against wiping out the deer herd of a given lease.
There are no minimum buck restrictions for a hunter younger than 13 years of age.
